Biography

I am an independent professional and consultant, working on museums and sustainable development challenges, including Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate action and the Paris Agreement, nature conservation, disaster risk reduction, and human rights and rights-based approaches.

My Fellowship is about exploring how museums in different countries are approaching sustainable development challenges, going beyond simple presentation of issues to being part of governance systems that address sustainable development challenges. I have been fascinated by nature my whole life, and through a long chain of developments have been working to support museums and their partners to contribute more effectively to sustainable development, as places that bridge the gap between policy agendas and people's lived experience. I've written freely available guides on museums and disaster risk reduction, and museums and human rights as a basis for public service.
