Biography

My current job role is the Founder and CEO of a social enterprise called InPower Academy. I founded this organisation in 2012.

My Fellowship aims to explore further the link between school exclusions and youth entering the criminal justice system. Rather than be problem-focused, I want to look at organisations that have done great work within this sector and replicate and learn from various frameworks worldwide. I aim to create impact and systemic change by documenting this journey both with content and an actionable, replicable framework to be presented to statutory bodies and to key individuals that can influence change.

As founder of an organisation that has always been focused on early intervention and how preventative work early on can positively change the trajectory of a young person's life, I care about this topic. I have advocated for it and have also mentored young people that haven't had the support they needed early on Ð if education is not a part of a young person, it can have negative consequences overall.

I hope my Fellowship findings can support and be the catalyst for real systemic change.
