Biography

I founded Wild House to design tiny cabins and place them in the wild, renting them out for a unique off-grid adventure and experience enabling customers to disconnect from city life in the wilds of Scotland. My role at Wild House focuses on creating and developing off-grid hospitality and wild wellness concepts utilising market insights and trends.

My Churchill Fellowship for 2020 will be to visit Australia to research sustainable business models for off-grid accommodation and the benefits of wild wellness concepts and their propensity to support rural communities in Scotland. Other facets of research are design, logistics, management, and the associated challenges with installing off-grid structures to enable maximum benefit for rural communities and visitors.

The great outdoors and associated benefits have been a long-standing passion of mine, seeing first-hand its direct impact on people's mental health and wellbeing.

The Fellowship has empowered me and added clear commercial direction to my passion while being underpinned by a clear purpose of helping people to disconnect to reconnect.
