March 2025 Fellows' update: Leanne Pero

Leanne Pero has been included on The Independent Women 2025 – The Influence List.

The list marks International Women’s Day and celebrates 50 influential women across various sectors, including politics, sports, arts, media, business, fashion, and activism.

Leanne founded the Movement Factory at just 15, and after being diagnosed with breast cancer at 30, she established the Leanne Pero Foundation. Her mission is to support Black women with cancer and challenge misconceptions and taboos surrounding the disease. Through her Churchill Fellowship, she researched breast cancer awareness in the Black community in West Africa, furthering her advocacy work.
