Biography

I have been retired for a number of years.

I was working as a postman at the time of my Fellowship, which was to study delivery services in Belgium, France, Switzerland and Italy.

The Fellowship led to a long and successful Post Office career, embracing a Post Office Scholarship course in Business Studies the following year: winning the Sir William Ryland Award in 1979 (for studying in western Europe). It led to promotion through the executive and management structure to finish on the board of one of the two Welsh districts of Post Office Counters.

My Fellowship experience helped enormously in encouraging this rewarding career and enabling me to pursue my education to university level.

I met some remarkable people on my travels those many years ago, all of whom held the name of Sir Winston Churchill in the highest esteem.
