Biography

I am a self-employed creative facilitator and trainer. My Churchill Fellowship in 2011 was called Enriching Life with Creative Expression, and looked at various creative projects across the USA for people living with dementia. It took me to Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York and San Francisco, working with and observing leading practitioners in this field.

I have always aspired to make positive changes for people living with dementia by creating joyful, uplifting and creative moments through what I deliver and facilitate. The Fellowship highlighted the importance of creativity and how to combine multi-artform approaches from visual arts to creative writing and music. I gained additional confidence to work across the spectrum and all stages of dementia.

Since the Fellowship, I have developed a digital creative project called We engAGE, inspired by the projects I visited. This was really popular and bridged the gap between technology and art. I continue to deliver and design bespoke creative projects for a range of dementia-based settings.
