Marking 60 years
Marking 60 years
This year we have marked sixty years of the Churchill Fellowship with celebratory teas in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Manchester.
We welcomed Fellows from our very first awards right through to last year’s cohort – representing every nation and a rich mix of disciplines and generations.
Whether you joined us in person or later heard accounts from other Fellows, these gatherings reminded us why our Fellowship community matters.
“Wherever and whenever your Fellowship took place, I hope the afternoon reminded you of what it means to be part of this remarkable community and of the belief that lies at its heart.” – Jeremy Soames, Chair of the Churchill Fellowship
These reignited connections also provided the opportunity to launch our next bold chapter – the new Activate Programme. Our £10 million Anniversary Appeal will underpin this new dedicated fund empowering Fellows to turn insights into practical action by offering additional grants and support, launching in 2026. We’ll be explaining more about the programme this Autumn – but if you’d like a preview, here are some stories from our pilot phase.
“Years after completing my Fellowship, I still feel the impact of your belief in me.” – Sepideh Mojabi (CF 2015)
Our Fellowship was made possible by the generosity and belief of others over the last sixty years and we remain grateful to all the Fellows that have supported the Anniversary Appeal so far this year. If you are in a position to contribute, please consider:
- Making a one‑off gift: spark Fellow‑led breakthroughs today – donate now

- Leaving a gift in your will: invest in future generations of Fellows – email giving@churchillfellowship.org or call 020 7799 1667.
Each celebratory tea demonstrated that our shared curiosity and collaboration drive this Fellowship forward. Your belief in it keeps this community alive.
