Matt Waugh (CF 2020) has supported the development of a physical activity service in CNWL NHS Mental Health Services.
The programme is based from a gym at St Charles Health Centre which is accessed by Community Living Well, Talking Therapies and Inpatient Care.
The model draws on the KBIM service in Sydney, which he visited during his Churchill Fellowship, adapting its approach to support physical activity within mental health treatment. Sport England, CNWL Health Charity and LiveMore have supported this work.
The model is outlined in an evaluation report.
