Voluntary-sector workers training
I am an independent researcher engaged in the UK and European third sector. I hold an MA in social policy (University of Sussex), a PhD (Open University) and have been published in Voluntas, Voluntary Sector Review, Public Management Review and Interface. I have lived in Germany and Mexico, where I taught community social work and social policy.
My recent research projects with the Institute for Voluntary Action Research in London examined advocacy, community assets and organisational development. I remain active in local campaigns to support health rights for migrants, community land trusts, neighbourhood work on the local environment and work with local community centres.
