Biography
As Founder of EPiC HOPE, suicide prevention is both my job and my life's mission. My passion comes from personal experience. I grew up surrounded by the pain of suicide attempts and hopelessness, both in my family and myself. These experiences taught me empathy and resilience, and the importance of never giving up on anyone.
I'm researching 24/7 crisis centres abroad, in particular community run ones, to bring back ideas that can help fill the gaps in UK support. Too often, people in crisis are told to wait for help or are expected to manage complex systems when they're at their lowest. I want to help create a UK where anyone, anywhere can walk into a safe place and find immediate support day or night. I hope my research inspires change so that no one has to ever face their darkest moments alone.
