Biography

I currently co-ordinate AutAngel, a community interest company run by and for autistic adults which works to grow the autistic community. I also run Autism Matters, where I offer training and consultation about autism.

My Fellowship looked at autistic peer support and co-produced research. I am autistic myself and when I discovered this, it was important for me to meet other autistic people and learn as much as I could about autism. I became aware that much research on autism was driven by the interests of researchers rather than the needs of autistic people, so I wanted to see how this was addressed by co-produced research.

I have used what I learnt in my Fellowship to help develop AutAngel as a truly supportive community that is able to document its effectiveness with the aid of co-produced research.
