Biography

I am a director-researcher specialising in social isolation, sexual harassment prevention and the intersection of drama and video games. I deliver gender allyship training and my work recently took me to the Houses of Parliament on the wave of Netflix's 'Adolescence'.

I will investigate how video games and drama can be blended in order to aid with social isolation amongst men. I believe it will create more positive self-images of masculinity. The most famous example of video games and drama being blended is Pokémon Go. It’s interactive, it takes place in the real world and it creates empathy. However, I am interested in exploring all and any drama and video games to learn more about how they can intersect and, ultimately, help us as individuals and as members of society at large.

I am open to interviewing participants and experts and being a participant-observer in the creative process. It is my hope that the information I collate from my Fellowship can become the basis for a manual to train other practitioners and that data from the said sessions can become the basis for a House of Lords white paper on the ability of drama to create change in this sphere.
