Financial expert appointed as new Trustee

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Bevan to our board of Trustees at a time of innovation and growth.

Simon Bevan

Simon will lead on financial management and will bring to the board significant governance and audit experience following a successful career at Grant Thornton and BDO LLP. He has over 30 years’ experience of working with high growth businesses, especially in the professional services sector.

For the past ten years Simon has been a trustee and treasurer of the Bromley-by-Bow Centre, a charity that provides community and healthcare services in one of the most deprived areas in the UK.

Simon said: "Whilst my background as an accountant is what the Churchill Fellowship was looking for in me - and I certainly hope that experience will prove useful to the charity over the coming years - what attracted me to the Fellowship is a strong personal resonance with its aims and ethos. For the past decade, I have been Treasurer of the Bromley-by-Bow Centre, a charity which changes people's lives at the grassroots level in one of the UK's most deprived areas. I see in the Churchill Fellowship an organisation which leverages positive change on a greater scale, in areas like social inequality and the environment, through knowledge and learning."

Our Chairman Jeremy Soames said: "We are delighted to welcome Simon to our board of Trustees. He brings a wide range of experience from his impressive career in financial management and I look forward to working closely with him as we embark on an exciting period of growth.”
